Easter Eggstravaganza

What an amazing day – the weather was cold but dry [even though heavy showers were forecast!]. Over 500 people turned out to this event and I think they all had a great time. 198 children took part in the under 7’s Easter egg hunt in the under 5’s play area and approx 100 over 7’s took part in the hunt around the park led by the Trafford Christian Life Centre. The Friends held a tombola, refreshment stall, ran races, ran a decorated egg competition and an Easter Bonnet Parade with prizes for all. Sustainable living volunteers had a stall explaining what they do and held a ball throwing game, Sure Start were here giving out leaflets, there was a stall selling recycled gifts and homeware, Joy Melody our local clown came and did balloon modelling, and Busy Bee Toys [from Chorlton] had a stall selling their products.
