The Quality Standard for Funding is a unique initiative which recognises good practice in grant management and reporting by voluntary and community groups.
The Community Foundation for Greater Manchester (CFGM) has introduced this quality standard to recognise local grassroot voluntary and community groups who have managed a grant effectively and provided timely and high quality information about how they have used the money.
This Quality Standard will instantly identify voluntary and community groups to other funding organisations as effective grant recipients. The Quality Standard for Funding scheme will be promoted as a CFGM initiative with the intention that it will be recognised both in Greater Manchester and nationally to ensure that other funding organisations are aware of the standards groups have met in order to receive this recognition.
“I am pleased to support this new initiative from the Community Foundation. It is important that voluntary and community groups who have received funding and managed those funds well are recognised for their hard work and, importantly, encouraged to continue their remarkable contribution to local communities.
The Quality Standard scheme will help to achieve that and, as the first award of its kind in the country, should be congratulated.”
