As a charity, we offer our Community Room for hire at a very competitive rate. Did you know that every booking helps us fund the charity to continue working for our community? Book the Community Room
- Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis.
- You can book the room up to a year in advance.
- Please make sure enough time is booked to include time to set up & clear away. Our staff are not permitted to allow entry ahead of the allotted booking times.
- All rubbish must be removed from the premises at the end.
- The room has level access through The Tea Room community café, and its own access through bifold doors at the front of the building.
- We have fully accessible toilet facilities including a Changing Places Toilet.
- Free BT Guest wi-fi is available throughout the Community Building.

Choose your preferred dates from the calendar. Existing bookings show as blocked out hours. Click on any other available times and fill in the booking form, this automatically confirms your booking. If you have requested catering, we will contact you separately.

What are the charges for the room?
£17.50 per hour or £15.00 per hour for other Charities or organisations that are VAT exempt. Please make sure enough time is booked to include time to set up clear away.
How many can fit into the room?
A maximum of 30 adults can fit in the room.
What is included in the booking?
Use of the room including tables and chairs. As we are in the park, you will have access to the outside space, and the playground. However, as it is a public park, you will need to apply to Trafford Council if you want to erect bouncy castles, gazebos or hold a BBQ, but for public liability insurance reasons, it is unlikely to be approved. Chairs & tables will not be set up in advance. It is the hirer’s responsibility to put out any furniture required, and make sure they are cleaned and packed away again after the event. All rubbish must be taken away by the user and removed from the park.
Can I access the Cafe and kitchen?
You can purchase food and drinks from The Tea Room to eat in the community room, but will not be able to use the facilities to re-heat food or borrow equipment. For example, please provide your own own cake-cutting knife.
If you are likely to require a large amount of food, please do contact us to discuss a catering package.
Can I order catering into the community room?
We can offer a basic refreshments package for meetings, which will include: tea, coffees, squash or water. Or for special occasions we can provide a full buffet catering for all dietary requirements. Can I hire other additional services?
If you require additional equipment a projector is available at £5 per booking, and a large flat-screen TV at £5 per booking.
You will need to contact us at bookings@fovps.org.uk to discuss your needs. If you are bringing your own electronic equipment, please let us know in advance via the booking form as we will need to carry out a safety PAT test at a cost of £5 per item.
