A new parks charter was launched Thursday 21st June.
12 national organisations concerned with greenspace launched a new Charter for Parks at the Westminster and Scottish Parliaments on the first day of summer, Thursday 21st June 2018.
Prompted by increasing budget cuts and pressures affecting the UK’s public green spaces, we will be asking groups and organisations throughout the UK to sign up to the 6-point Charter and all tiers of Government to take the necessary action to safeguard these vital resources for all communities.
The Charter will call for parks to be properly funded, protected and improved for the benefit of current and future generations.
