Mental Health Awareness Week is running from the 9th to 15th May. The official theme is ‘loneliness’ and building meaningful connections with your friends, family, colleagues and communities.
Green Health is FOVPS’s flagship mental well-being programme, presenting an alternative opportunity to those experiencing poor mental health. Improved wellness is achieved in the fresh air, through an innovative blend of structured activity, skills building and peer support. Green Health helps people create a connection with their community and each other.
Why not come to our Gardening for Health group on Wednesday mornings, where we get together for some easy gardening, with time for a chat over tea and biscuits.
Our Chair Pilates session is an opportunity to meet up with new people, then visit the Tea Tea Room afterwards for a drink and catch up.

If you like walking, then download our Mindfulness Podcast, and see the park in a whole new way, slow down and focus your awareness on the present moment, use all your senses to experience the environment more closely. Or if you’d like company, our FreshAir Friday guided walks are for you.
We’re lucky to work closely with several external providers who have guided walks round the park, helping you get back to exercise in a small group, again with time to chat and have a drink afterwards. Details from the The MileShyClub
We’re always here, if you want to join in, get involved in volunteering, or just need a quiet place to sit.
