Santa comes to Stretford

Santa is getting ready for his first visit to Stretford on Sunday !3th December 4-6pm.

He’s starting at 4pm at the letter A on the map, and going down Cyprus street, turning into School road, looping around the park, via B, then back along School rd, down Bennet St and returning via Jackson st to C, looping round Henshaw then down Moreton to D and back up Cyprus to A,.

He then goes along Grange Avenue, Radstock, Marlborough and down Davyhulme Rd to E, loop back to Davyhulme via Belford, back up Ponsonby, Bowness to F, then down Kendal to G.

From G they go along Grasmere, Thirlmere, along Coniston to H then finish along Moss Rd ending near the Social Club at I around 6pm.

As they’ve not made this journey before we can’t say when the sleigh will be at each road, but they’ll be lit up and playing music and ringing a bell, so listen out along the route and you won’t miss them!

Come out and wave, but do keep to social distancing rules. We’re not able to have collection buckets, so please do donate online and Text PARK to 70480, we’ve already raised over £1200 to enable The Friends to continue bringing you events like Santa and many more activities in future.

Remember, if you’re not on this route, on Monday Santa crosses the canal to the Kings rd area, Tuesday he’s in Gorse Hill and on Wednesday he’s at Seven Ways and surrounding streets between 6 and 7 pm. Check out Facebook for updates

Happy Christmas!
