Summer in Victoria Park

We’ve been so lucky with the weather, and it’s been wonderful to see so many people out and about enjoying the park.

The Tea Room can now offer indoor seating to compliment our picnic benches outside and is serving a new menu from 9am – 6pm 7 days a week.  Why not book an afternoon tea for that special occasion, or just pop in for a coffee and cake.

The outdoor exercise classes are increasingly popular, with yoga, Tai Chi, Latin Dance Fitness, bootcamps, and health walks, there’s bound to be one, or two that you’d love!

Our gardening groups have been busy filling the park with colour and keeping on top of the weeds, but there’s always more to be done, why not come along and join in. We’ll be judged by the RHS for the It’s Your Neighbourhood and also for the Green Flag award over the summer, so we need everything to be looking its best. Even if it’s just bringing an extra bottle of water during dry spells for your favourite plant, every little helps.

We’ve had great fun meeting lots of families at our weekend gardening and nature groups, and adults have been meeting up for coffee and craft. The Stretford Shedders have been busy working with wood and tools to make raised beds & bird boxes, what would you like to make?

To find out more about any of these groups check out our Groups & Activities page

See you in Victoria Park soon.
