We have a wonderful youth council working with the Friends of Victoria Park, Stretford.
In November 2020, the Youth Council were successful in obtaining a grant of £1000 from the Yorkshire Building Society.
New benches for the under 5’s area were identified as a priority and after research they chose Inclusive Furniture as the provider.
Ian delivered and erected the four benches , two with wheelchair/buggy spaces. The team from Amey, Duncan and Jack, also supported the project by ensuring the new benches were bolted and left safe and secure.
We know they will be well used by local people!
Most recently we were successful in a bid to the RHS to plant native bluebells near the bird-feeding area, we hope these will develop and bloom for years to come.
You can always rely on the Youth Council to volunteer at events, and to help run the Nature Explorer sessions on the weekend.
